REYA SERRA SIGNS FFL CONTRACT!
In a press conference earlier today, it was announced that the well-known wrestling standout Reya Serra has signed on to be one of the first competitors in the FFL Women's Bantamweight Division.
"I have always been fond of the world of mixed martial arts due to its nature of being far less...barbaric...than weapons matches and the like that wrestling promotions often entail," the woman known as The Herald of Holiness stated. "Therefore, when this opportunity was presented to me it was simply something that I felt that I could not pass up."
A former Phoenix Wrestling International Champion among other accolades, Reya has an extensive wrestling background and has been known to show tremendous resiliency against tough adversaries.
"Have you seen that movie Rudy? I swear, man...Reya's got so much heart that she makes that kid look like a total wuss," Reya's friend and manager Paxar Vega said. "I mean, the last time I saw her get knocked down and not get back up she was struck by lightning..."
Reya also told us when we spoke with her that though she is currently on sabbatical from Phoenix Wrestling she has not ruled out a return there in the future so long as there are no scheduling conflicts.
"She might be on a break from PW, but Reya's still been busy..." Paxar told us. "GMing the FBL's Virginia Colonials to the playoffs and getting ready for APW's Survive and Conquer and all...never say never on going back to PW though. That place is special to her and when she wants to do that and she has the time to do that, I'm sure she will. In the meantime, she's going to be spending what free time she's got outside of the FBL and the Survive and Conquer match to get ready for her first FFL fight."
As of right now, it's unknown as to when she will have her first FFL fight as well as who her challenger will be. We will have those details once they are available.
