Is this an E-Fed? Kinda... but not really. In an E-Fed wins are based on Role Playing, in an MMA league RPing is optional and never has any effect on the outcome of a fight. Role Playing is basically used just for hype or fun. Its always nice to be involved though. Also, obviously the main difference is this is MMA and an E-Fed is usually based on wrestling.
So how does this game work then? All fights are simmed using an MMA Simulator. An application will be set up for you to look over where you will name your fighter, give a nickname if you like, choose weight class, height, fighting style, etc. There will also be 18 different categories to distribute a given amount of points into to design your fighter how you see fit. Here we will use a total of 150 points to distribute. More on that in the application page. Those categories are as follows:
Punches
Kicks
Clinch Striking
Strength
Agility
Dodging
Takedowns
Takedown Defense
Heart
Ground'n'Pound
Ground Game
Submissions
Submission Defense
Conditioning
Toughness
Control
Aggressiveness
KO Resistance
Are you stuck with the same stats every fight? On weeks that you are not carded you are allowed to switch things up if you feel you need to. This will always keep your opponent guessing HOWEVER you only be allowed to move around so many points. Lets keep this realistic. You can't be a kick boxer one week and a BJJ expert the next. There will also be training where you will be able to gradually improve your fighter.
Training you say? Training will be free and can be utilized before every fight. In the future I may set up a money system, where you can get additional training, but that is for later down the line if I decide to do that.
So is this like UFC? Pride? Bar room brawling? We will be using the standard rules set up by UFC. 3 rounds each lasting 5 minutes for non title fights and 5 rounds each lasting 5 minutes for title fights/main events. All fights take place inside a cage. You've watched UFC so you know its an octagon. On occasion though I might host tournaments using PRIDE rules inside a "wrestling" ring.
You mentioned weight classes? I did. Here are the usual weight classes in MMA.
Heavyweight
206-265
Light Heavyweight

Middleweight

Welterweight
